Language Workshops

IN OTHER WORDS

That is what learning is. You suddenly understand something you've understood all your life, but in a new way.

Doris Lessing

The courses that I followed and training that I had to be a translator, interpreter and lecturer, include Opleiding tolk/vertaler Engels (higher professional education in translation and interpreting), M.O. A Engels and M.O. B Engels (teaching qualifications, both first and second level), and a continuing private study of English law and Dutch law.

The English workshops that I give are for lawyers, public prosecutors, lecturers, managers, librarians, etc. The basis for the workshops is always the work that the participants do and their objectives. The workshops take place at the company or institution where the participants work, or at other locations.

The language spoken during the workshops is English. As far as possible, discussions, presentations, explanations of grammar and idioms as well as exercises are done during the workshops themselves. Prior to every workshop there is a short interview to establish a participant's level and his or her objectives.
